Charter Farms is a beautiful 120 acre farm in a peaceful, tranquil setting on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Partners, Bruce C. Nichols and Margaret I. Cowan, have been involved with Thoroughbred and Arabian racing horses for over twenty two years, and have now turned their focus toward a breeding and nursery operation.

Our band of broodmares have all raced, or been in race training and have proven their ability to physically and mentally meet the challenges of a competitive environment.

At Charter Farms, we love our horses and take great pride in their care and development. They have the best of everything, every day.

Guests are always welcome. It is our pleasure to share our passion for the horse and the racing industry.
